Seeks Community Input for Final Interview Round
CINCINNATI – January 27, 2022 – Earlier today, the Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) Board of Education held a press conference in which they announced the three finalists for Superintendent.
In alphabetical order, the finalists are:
- Tianay Amat, Interim Superintendent, Cincinnati Public Schools
- Marlon Styles, Superintendent, Middletown City School District
- Iranetta Wright, Deputy Superintendent of Schools in Detroit Public Schools Community District
Candidate bios may be found on the CPS website and candidate videos will be released tomorrow.
In addition, the CPS Board of Education is seeking community input for the final interview round. Members of the CPS community, including staff, students, parents, partners and community members may nominate themselves or someone else to participate in interview panels which will occur on February 10.
Members of the Cincinnati community are also encouraged to submit an interview question for consideration.

CPS Board President Ben Lindy said, “We are grateful for the thoughtful and energetic participation of the Cincinnati community as a part of this process. Early on, stakeholder input from staff, students, parents, partners and community members helped to shape the candidate profile. We are excited to present these three highly qualified candidates to the community today.” He continued, “We are just as excited to invite our CPS and Cincinnati community to participate in this final, critical stage of interviews. Please nominate yourself or someone else to participate in panel interviews, or consider submitting a question. We are seeking broad and diverse participation.”
Nomination forms and questions are due by end of day Monday, January 31. Interview panel participants will be notified between February 1 and February 4.
